DIGITAL LEADERSHIP

BALANCING TACTICAL, STRATEGIC, DELIVERY, CULTURE AND HIGH STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

I coach and develop Digital Leaders by leveraging over 20 years of Digital expertise and 10 years of coaching and development.  I work with leaders to reach high performance, success and a high-quality experience for everyone that follows them.

I’ve worked with some of the industries thought leaders on the global stage and help leaders transform their approach by increasing the breadth of perspective, understand themselves, stakeholders and customers better and get crystal clear on what is important.

DIGITAL STRATEGY

WHAT TO DO, WHEN AND HOW

Figuring out what to do, when and how is what strategy is about.  Put another way, strategy is how an organization (or leader) utilizes its limited resources for the greatest impact or value creation.

Use the following steps to create a great Digital Strategy and remember to Think Big, Start Small and Move Fast

  • Understand the organizations mission and vision

  • Determine resources available and constraints (milestones, budgets, capability)

  • Define strategic principles that we assume will deliver the vision

  • Define three horizons Readiness, Excellence, Innovation and group activities into them

  • Establish an operating model and associated commerical model

DIGITAL CAPABILITY

BUILDING HIGH-PERFORMANCE DELIVERY AND CULTURE

Digital Capability underpins a successful organization and is how Digital Strategy is executed.  Without a Digital Capability, an organization will (given enough time) die as even non-digital domains are disrupted by digital natives.

A world-class Digital Capability is one that has the best people, technology, process, and culture.  The two most critical components to sustained high performance are the best people and the right culture.   The best people use the best processes, which deliver the best outcomes. However, without a culture that provides empowerment, growth, and great leadership these high-potential people will fail to perform and will disengage and exit the organisation, reducing further the capability level.
